In 1906 an enterprising clergyman decided the residents of Tooting needed an open-air bathing pool. Four hundred out-of-work men dug out the pool, which was completed in just four months. It's still going strong as Tooting Bec Lido. In the same year the South London Swimming Club was born at the pool. The Club asked us to create a brand for its centenary celebrations. The logo was used for the first ever Cold Water Swimming Championships in the UK in January 2006.
