Susan Rentoul Design was asked by Leander Swimming Club to come up with an updated design for its logo. The previous marque didn't stand out on swimming caps and clothing and the Club wanted something stronger and more modern.

As part of the logo, we were asked to retain Leander's lamp, the means by which the Greek hero navigated across the Hellespont on his epic swims to his lover. We updated the drawing of the lamp and added the typeface Gill Sans for the lettering. The Club's swimming caps now look great in the training pool and at swimming galas.
